Supporting Young People Towards Independence

We provide supported accommodation for looked-after children, care leavers, and unaccompanied asylum-seeking children with individually assessed, trauma-informed support.

Supported Groups

Who Our Service Is Designed For

We are specialists in semi-independent supported accommodation for young people across a range of assessed needs and backgrounds.

Looked-After Children

Young people aged 16 to 18 who are in the care of a Local Authority and require semi-independent supported accommodation with 24/7 staffing. Our service provides a structured, safe environment that balances supervision with growing independence.

Care Leavers (aged 16-25)

Young people transitioning out of care who need ongoing support to develop the skills, confidence, and stability required for successful independent living. We provide graduated support tailored to each individual's readiness and assessed need. This includes step-down accommodation options that provide reduced levels of support while still being personalised to help each young person continue progressing towards independence at a pace that suits them.

Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children

UASC who require culturally responsive supported accommodation with additional support around language, legal processes, education, integration, and emotional wellbeing. Our staff are trained in cultural competence and trauma-informed practice.

Step-Down Placements

Young people stepping down from higher-intensity residential or foster care placements into a semi-independent setting. We work closely with the previous placement and social worker to ensure a smooth, well-planned transition.

APPROACH

Our Approach

How We Provide Support

Our approach is rooted in evidence-based practice, with every element of support tailored to the individual young person's assessed needs.

APPROACH

Individually Assessed

Every young person receives a comprehensive assessment prior to placement. Support plans are developed within 72 hours and reviewed regularly to ensure they remain relevant and responsive.

Trauma-Informed Practice

Our staff are trained in trauma-informed approaches that recognise the impact of adverse childhood experiences. We create environments that promote safety, trust, and empowerment rather than re-traumatisation.

Culturally Responsive

We respect and celebrate the cultural identity, heritage, and faith of every young person. Our support is adapted to reflect individual cultural needs, dietary requirements, and communication preferences.
